Wanted: Natural residents

Part1-Summary:

New Western Harbour development in Malmo, Sweden is made to provide needs to people. The well organized wine racks, kid’s toys and high quality furniture on view through curtainless windows make people feel themselves at home. Not only humans live there. Outside you can see birds, bats and insects. Every roof is covered with sedum and fringed ponds. These developments are made for urban and comfort living. The first phase, containing 1300 new apartments, Bo01, was planned to promote biodiversity alongside with showing new green methods of waste management, sustainable transport and renewable energy.
Developers have to choose ten green features from a list of 35 to incorporate into their designs. As a result, wildlife is getting better in Bo01. In the next 2 phases of the development extra green features will be added. The aim for the new developments is to change people’s thinking about buying new houses not for their good looks but to buy them because of their green credentials. 25% of the food is organic and hopefully in the future it will be more.

Part2-Main Idea:
1-The new western harbor is in Malmo, Sweden.
2-There is a school that will teach about keeping the world an environmentally friendly place.
3-Developers have to choose ten green features from a list of 35 to incorporate into their designs.

Part3-Opinion:
1-I think it is expensive to make a big environmentally friendly city.
2-I think the place is nice and beautiful to live.
3-It is only the start to make the world a better place.
